Southwest Virginia Mediations
Previously a circuit court judge in the Twenty-third Judicial Circuit of
Virginia for sixteen years (1997-2013), and a retired recalled judge for
five years after that, Jon Apgar has successfully mediated and arbitrated
scores of cases since 2013.
Now having resumed private practice, his years of experience, and
certification in civil mediation in 2012 by the National Judicial College,
make him highly qualified to mediate or evaluate your case.
Special Achievements:
Helped create and distribute the award-winning video "The Arrest is Only the Beginning, How Virginia Drug Courts Succeed” 2009 to 2011.
Received the Diane McQuade Strickland Public Service Award from the Twenty-third Judicial Circuit Drug Court July, 2012.
